General News

Wet weather plays havoc on our animals feet. Footrot, abscesses and white line disease are on the incline this Spring.

I have pulled an abnormally high number of calves this season. The more often your cattle are checked the earlier you can catch a dystocia and the greater the chances of getting a live calf.

Good News

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

-Jesus (John 3:16)

"...I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

Dr. Clint Owens has been our veterinarian in Burnet for two years. We highly recommend him for both large and small animals.

- Terri Isbell

I have brought Dr. Owens everything from routine dog vaccinations to cattle problems plus a long list of equine problems, everything from cuts to pre-purchase exams, lameness issues, founder, colic and breeding issues. He has handled anything I have brought to him and done it with professionalism, compassion and knowledge.

- Terri Isbell

I’ve called on him many times after hours, and he has always taken care of whatever problem I had and done it with a smile.

Dr. Owens' methodical, knowledgeable, and collegial working style make solving animal health problems a joint partnership in vet care.

- Helen Miller

My Arabs are well-trained, but sensitive. Dr. Owens intuitively knows when, and how much pressure he can apply to get the response he needs, without the drama. Vet appointments are professional, efficient, and the horses (and staff) genuinely LIKE him.
